Partnertownship Georgsmarienhütte
Since 1965 a partnertownship agreement excists between the municipalities Oesede en Schoonebeek. When in 1970 the municipality Oesede went over in the municipality Georgsmarienhütte this agreement went over.
Some members of the P.C.S. are genuine Marco Polo's and visit almost evey tournement. During a tournement in Schüttorf they met a few members of APC Boule from Georgsmarienhütte.
Ofcourse we knew of the excistance of our partnertown Georgsmarienhütte, but we didn't know that this town also had a Pétanque club.
The first contacts were made and addresses were exchanged. After intensive correspondence 12 members from Georgsmarienhütte visited our tournement of oktober the 21 2006. Afterwards we talked over a drink and a snack and we accomplished an exchangeprogram.
January the 21 2007 was the first time we visited our German friends. For this occasion a hall was rented in nearby Osnabrück.
